Leading IBIS and supporting IBIS’ global network and structure of experts and associates is Dr Marie-Luce Kühn. Marie-Luce has been the director, owner and co-founder of IBIS since 1997. She has a distinguished career in competitive intelligence, competitive intelligence analysis and knowledge building and has always been looking for the big data picture once all data dots have been linked. Her primary experience lies in the fields of centralising, managing and evaluating a wide range of tactical and strategic information into intelligence products, including policy advices and business strategy. Marie-Luce has published many articles on competitive intelligence in various journals and other publications including the first article on competitive intelligence in South Africa in 1999. She is a regular contributor to various journals and magazines. She holds a PhD in International Trade from the NWU (Potchefstroom Campus). Her PhD was about exporter information requirements and exploring realistic export opportunities for South African exporters. Marie-Luce cultivated a close network of competitive intelligence and competitive insights expertise in South Africa serving IBIS’ clients here in South Africa and also globally.
