Grey holds an MBL (General Management) from Unisa and has extensive export and local marketing experience. He served on the National Export Advisory Council (NEAC) chaired by the Minister of Trade and Industry and worked for the Development Bank of Southern Africa for 6 years as project leader in industrial development and foreign investment portfolios.

He also worked for the National Productivity Institute for 13 years as marketing manager, market researcher and as head of the consulting division and trained is in benchmarking by BENSA.
